Pam Erskine
Pam Erskine is a sophisticated IT Service Management professional with a strong career in managing complex consulting engagements and IT support operations optimizing IT resources to meet operational goals. She has a proven ability in assessing and evaluating technical issues and developing appropriate solutions to resolve issues efficiently. Her broad knowledge and success include both engineering development and infrastructure environments. She has demonstrated repeated success in forging profitable relationships with strategic partnerships and clients to build consensus across multiple organizational levels to achieve defined project goals.
Ms. Erskine is the author of “ITIL and Organizational Change” which analyzes some of the reasons why organizations fail to realize the benefits of ITIL and offers practical ways to avoid these pitfalls. She is the creator of the Advanced Organizational Performance Techniques™ program, entitled AdOPT™, which includes assessments, practices, techniques, and training related to planning and managing the organizational change associated with implementing ITIL or other IT initiatives. Pam is an ITIL Expert, ITIL Service Manager, Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Help Desk Director, and Grove certified in strategic visioning.
Julie Schmidt - YellowDog: Creative
Julie Schmidt is a visual communications expert with more than 19 years of experience as a graphic designer and creative director. Her expertise includes graphic design and communication strategies for nonprofit organizations, government agencies and small and large businesses alike. Big picture thinking – in addition to a keen attention to detail – makes Julie a master at collaborating with clients to create materials that meet their business objectives while best using available resources. Ms. Schmidt is the owner of yellowDog : creative, a woman owned, North Carolina based business
Dr. Shannon Tufts, UNC School of Government, Center for Public Technology.
Shannon Howle Tufts, PhD, is the director of the Center for Public Technology at the University of North Carolina’s School of Government. In 2010, Shannon was selected as one of the nation’s Top 25 Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers by Government Technology magazine (see http://www.govtech.com/gt/747367). Dr. Tufts designed and implemented the first local government Certified Government Chief Information Officers program in the nation, successfully graduated the inaugural class in November 2005, and continues to run CGCIO Certification programs for local and state government IT professionals.
Dr. Tufts serves as the faculty liaison to the North Carolina Local Government Information Systems Association (NCLGISA) and is also intricately involved in a variety of telecommunications efforts across the state of North Carolina. Dr. Tufts has numerous publications on public sector information systems, including Humanizing IT: Advice from the Experts, with G. David Garson; “Training for Digital Government,” in Digital Government; and “E-Government: An Overview,” in Public Information Technology: Policy and Management Issues. In addition, she offers several monographs and research briefs through her work with the Center for Public Technology. Dr. Tufts serves on a variety of state and national boards and commissions.
