Learning about nutrition is a lot like learning about icebergs. There's a fair bit on the surface, but then you discover how much more there is just beneath the surface, and some of that can certainly derail you in achieving your health and wellness goals. I think the challenge is achieving a rhythm so that you make wise, healthy choices, but also enjoy life and live it to the fullest. Like the iceberg, if we are so afraid of what is underneath, we might miss out on some excellent adventures, but at the same time, understanding what is there and making wise decisions is important. I think that's what I love about being a holistic health coach, I can help you to understand what the iceberg looks like so that you can make the best choices possible for you and your life.
Lately I've noticed a lot of blog posts and articles about being happy. It makes me wonder, why is it that this is so elusive for us? When I read the articles, while there are always useful, helpful tips, it is not rocket science. My newsletter each month has a different tip for being happy -- and I only present those I truly believe work and make a difference. It does leave me pondering the question, though of why it is so hard. This is one of the reasons I love Dr. Brene Brown. She says we need to lean in to Joy. I like that. It's a great visual and, it turns out, requires some real work, but maybe the first step is just accepting that it's ok to be happy. What do you think? What makes you happy?

A little about me and why I am doing this.
